This talk is about how digital signals are designed to be resilient and repair themselves from damage caused by noise and interference. Focus will be on the M17 protocol, a VHF/UHF open source specification that is being extended to microwave for amateur space use by Open Research Institute.
Demonstrations of open source amateur communications equipment will be available for you to see in person.
We meet the first Wednesday of each month, unless a holiday falls on that day when we move it to the following week.
