Events Calendar
We meet the first Wednesday of each month, unless a holiday falls on that day when we move it to the following week.
Our speaker for the August 3rd meeting will be Anthony Luscre, K8ZT.
His topic will be “Technicians – Life Beyond Repeaters”.
So you passed the Technician license and have some experience on repeaters. What next? Come join us and listen to Anthony Luscre describe his experience operating QRP and awards chasing with a “modest” antenna array on a small suburban lot has led to over 103,00 QRP contacts on all modes. His QRP DXCC total recently topped the 326 mark and he has completed the 11-band WAS. He is a published author in this area. Come share in his enthusiasm in what can be accomplished with modest power and antenna arrays as he points you to the next phase of your amateur radio adventures.
Anthony currently serves as ARRL Ohio Section Youth Coordinator. He enjoys sharing his Amateur Radio interests with others by maintaining two websites k8zt.com and ZTlearn.com, writing articles for a variety of publications including CQ Magazine (new column “Ham Radio Explorer” debuts in Dec 2021 issue), DX Engineering blog “On All Bands” and developing an online course for the ARRL. In addition to frequent in-person club presentations pre-COVID, during the pandemic, he has done over 100 club presentations virtually in multiple states and countries.
ONLINE ONLY THIS MONTH AGAIN DUE TO RISING COVID RATES AND GUIDANCES!
Join us on Zoom to participate in social time starting at 19:00
