Palomar Amateur Radio Club Field Day 2012
PARC will participate in the ARRL-sponsored Field Day, to take place June 22 to 24, 2012. The FD operating period is the 24 hours between 11:00am (PDT) on Saturday, June 23th through 11:00am (PDT) on Sunday, June 24th. Setup will begin at 2:00pm on Friday, June 22th. Teardown on Sunday from the end of the operating period at 11:00am until about 2:00pm.
Field Day will be held at the San Marcos Sheriff Department site on the northwest corner of Rancheros Drive and Santar Place in San Marcos.
Our Field Day Chairman, Charlie NN3V (nn3v@amsat.org), is operating an active email list with all the planning details distributed frequently. There's also a weekly Field Day Net on the 146.730 MHz repeater every Wednesday evening (except club meeting night on June 6) at 8:00pm until the event. Check in on the net!

Directions
- From Highway 78 Westbound
- Exit Woodland Parkway. At the end of the ramp, turn left on Rancheros Drive and go about a quarter mile to Santar Place.
- From Highway 78 Eastbound
- Exit Barham Drive. At the end of the ramp, turn left on Barham Drive. At the first signal, turn left on Woodland Parkway. At the first signal, turn left on Rancheros Drive and go about a half mile to Santar Place.
Satellite Operation Schedule
During FD, the PARC FD site will be operating a satellite station, courtesy of KC6UQH.
Anyone interested in how satellites are operated — from the equipment through the software capabilities — are invited to be at the site for the satellite passes. The satellites and the time of their pass are as follows:
Satellite Time AO-27 1 and 3 PM Saturday, June 23rd. SO 50 12 Midnight June 23rd., and 1:30 AM June 24th. FO 29 12 Noon, 2 PM , 4 PM and 11:45 PM June 23rd. VO 52 8 AM and 10 AM Sunday, June 24th. AO 7 5 PM, June 23rd; and 8 AM ,10 AM Sunday June 24th.
The International Space Station will be visible from 1 PM through 10 PM every hour and 30 Minutes on June 23rd. A contact is possible, but only 1 contact per station if voice repeater is operational.
