Paul, KB5MU, trying to work packet radio with a Commodore 64; the first appearance of a computer at a PARC Field Day as far as I know. Learning the hard way that bright sunlight and a CRT monitor don't mix well.

See the round-edged gadget under the roll of solder? That's a cassette tape drive, used for loading the program into the computer. The large black box below that is a TAPR TNC (later known as a TNC-1).
